DIY: Peek-a-Boo Studded Jeans

What you will need:

1. Jeans (that are already distressed or you can DIY distress them  yourself!)
2. Denim iron-on patches (or denim patches)
3. Studs (or any embellishments you'd like)
4. Iron
5. Needle and thread
6. Scissors

1. Measure or guess-timate the size of the rips in your jeans
2. Cut the denim patches accordingly in pairs of 2, adding about 1/2" on each side of the patch

3. Begin studding one of the two pieces, 1/2" away from the edge
4. If your studs have two closures, alternate them horizontally and vertically to avoid spaces

5. Iron the second piece of the patch, coated side to coated side
6. Press the whole piece down, and NOTE: do not touch the studs after this step, they're hot. (wahh:[)

7. Cut any excess fabric off the edges of the patch
8. Flip your jeans inside out, align the patch with your rip, and sew along the edges of the patch using a needle and thread (blue?)

In this DIY, I only did two of the tears as shown above. Get creative and stud the pockets, sides, or even back pockets of your jeans!

& VOILA!
Hope you enjoyed this DIY and stay tuned for more :)

  2. LOVE! Oh how I love this idea! Here I've been using iron on patches (which will forever have a place in my heart) it never occurred to me to use studs. I love studs. Thanks so much for sharing.
